Since I mentioned Jeff Buckley in my Kate Walsh post I had to listen to one of the most beautiful voices of all time. Jeff Buckley’s untimely death is one of the greatest losses to the future of music that we’ve ever seen. This includes Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and I believe even Jimi Hendrix. Looking at his spot in a local Boston CD store it’s sad to know that nothing “new” will ever fill that space.
I stayed up late last night to watch Conan O’Brien and lucky for me I did. Every once in awhile you hear a voice and a song that immediately captures your attention. James Morrison, Jeff Buckley… Last night Kate Walsh and her beautifully delicate song “Your Song” immediately won me over. Though a tad bit sad and melancholy the song is amazing – the accompanying CD “Tim’s House” is just as beautiful.
Well American Idol is once again here and though it’s usually cheesy pop music it is definitely entertaining.
Another great song by a great artist who will be around for a very long time. If you write off his early stuff as fluff then please listen to Continuum. Also appears to be an all around good guy - John Mayer dot com Blog. Maybe he’ll play the Sea Grape one of these days??!
I actually prefer when Conan O’Brien goes off script and does his behind the scenes videos. This recent one is one of my favorites.
